Mini Transat - the single-handed Transatlantic race on sailing boats of only 6.5 meters in length. This is one of the most extreme and popular ocean races in the world, such as Volvo Ocean Race and Vendée Globe. The race takes place every two years, more than 80 professional and amateur sailors from all over the world cross the start line - but not all of them get to the finish. Mini Transat is known to be one of the most risky and dangerous sailing events in the world and it attracts attention of millions of fans.
The race course passes through the zones of variable, sometimes very difficult weather conditions, and sailors not only compete with each other, but also have to battle with forces of nature, physical and emotional fatigue. Racers drive their boats 24 hours non-stop with sleep breaks of 15-20 minutes. But even when skipper rests, at the same time his boats continues to sail, sometimes attaining speeds of up to 25 knots!
